Systemic Constellation

Systemic Constellation

Family Constellation Work was developed by German therapist Bert Hellinger. When he was a young man he worked as a missionary priest in Africa, it was there that the Zulu people educated him in their ways of resolving conflicts in family systems and relationships. He learned from them how to read the Knowing Field and how to use this field to uncover hidden energy dynamics in the family. After 20 years he returned to Germany where he continued his education in Eastern Philosophy and Western Psychotherapy. He combined the best of all the systems to create the format of Family Constellation work that we know and use today. Family Systems therapy has been improving the flow of love in the world for over 40 years.

This work provides an opportunity to uncover hidden dynamics or URP’s (Unwanted Repetitive Patterns) that occur in the family system. The constellation can reveal the pattern as well as a healthy path forward to a place with more peace for all members in the system. A Constellation Circle is a community of people that come together to participate in the work. A step by step description of a constellation circle can be found here.

This work can also be applied in private sessions, online or in person. To set up the constellation with fewer people we use props to take the place of important members of the system. For insights into ongoing patterns or blocks in the flow of ones life, business or relationships a private constellation session provides a container to witness and uncover those patterns.

Constellation Circle Event Schedule

"When the family has been brought into its natural order, the individual can leave it behind him while still feeling the strength of his family supporting him. Only when the connection to his family is acknowledged, and the person’s responsibility seen clearly and then distributed, can the individual feel unburdened and go about his personal affairs without anything from the past weighing him down or holding him back." – Bert Hellinger
